The Southeast Valley Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will begin the 2018-2019 session with a program presented by an outstanding leader in the Chandler area, Trinity Donovan. Mrs. Donovan serves as the CEO of AZCEND, a nonprofit organization that helps people move from crisis to stability and ultimately to prosperity. AZCEND was formally the Chandler Christian Community Center. Working in nonprofit leadership positions for the past 19 years, her areas of focus have included hunger and homelessness, early childhood, senior programs, financial stability, domestic violence and youth development. Trinity also served two terms as a council member for the City of Chandler and has represented the city on a regional and national level in areas of human services, transportation, water and sustainability. She currently serves as a regional council member for First Things First, which works with families and communities to support the healthy development and learning of children from birth to age five.

A graduate of Chandler High School, Trinity holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and a master’s degree in Sociology – both from Stanford University. She and her husband Ray enjoy spending time with their two daughters who are both under five years old.
