“The causes for the attack on Pearl Harbor” will be the topic of a presentation at the Sun Lakes Aero Club gathering Monday, December 17, at the Sun Lakes Country Club Navajo Room. The event will begin with coffee and camaraderie at 6:30 p.m. followed by the presentation at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Speaker will be Tony Contrabasso, a Valley resident for the past 28 years, who has presented numerous programs on various topics throughout Arizona. He will be presenting his powerful, narrated offering titled “Anatomy of Treachery,” which will explain the history of what led up to the sneak attack on the U.S. Naval base at Pearl Harbor. He says the Japanese sneak attack will go into history as America’s first “9/11.”

The presentation will go back to events occurring in 1858 and touch on numerous other events related to Japan’s decision to go to war with the U.S.

Now in its 23rd year, the Sun Lakes Aero Club sponsors presentations on aviation-related topics the third Monday of each month, November through April, at the Sun Lakes Country Club. The programs are open to all Sun Lakes residents and others interested in aviation.
