April 10 turned out to be a great day for many of the IWLN golfers. Our awards brunch was planned by Bettie Far with help from Kay Blas, Sandy Roach, Dottie Mead and Barb Sletto. Deb Burns handed out the numerous awards won by the Niners. The following women received an award for birdies during the December 2018 to April 2019 season: Deborah Greenwood, Janis Gustafson, Diane Coughlin, Barb Klemstone, Barbara Johnston, Linda Breitbach, Georgeann Bell, Rhonda Stanford, Beth Zdeblick, Rachael Enroe, Shirley Moore, Ginger Wilson, Donna Cook, Maureen Krol, Lorene Roberts, Deb Burns (2), Denise Weibel (2), Linda Liberti (2). Other ladies who received awards for chip-ins are Deb Burns, Barb Clemstone, Susan Schaeffer, Georgeann Bell, Bev Poffenberger, Linda Liberti, Fran Kelly, Jo Goodwin.

The IWLN also boasted three members who had a hole-in-one: Eileen Moberg, Deb Burns and Denise Lott. Our state medallion winners were Denise Weibel (low gross) and Fran Kelly (low net). Most improved golfer for 2018 was Eileen Moberg, with Denise Lott as the runner up. Congratulations to all the Lady Niners for an accomplished season of golf!

Beat the Pro was the game of day on April 17. Although the Oakwood Pro Steven Cabanday played great golf (32 gross score), he had some competition from the following ladies who beat him (minus their handicap): Ann Gavin (26), Diane Coughlin (27), Carol Knack (31), Margaret Johns (20), Rony Lacey (27), Sandy Krediet (31), Denise Weibel (31) and Denise Fleshner (26). Excellent job, ladies!
