The East West Tournament wrapped up the competitive season for Cottonwood Tennis Club, but tennis continues throughout the summer.

Two days of East West competition was a nail-biter. East represents all tennis members who live east of Alma School Road. West is all those living west of Alma School. The score was tied at the end of the first timeframe on Saturday, but by the end of the day, it was 39-35 in favor  of the East.

That concludes the competition for the 2017-18 season which was a good one. Each tournament had a theme: Gender Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Canada vs. U.S., East vs. West. Plus, there were lots of one-day competitions with other clubs.

The tennis was great, but the most popular activity all year is going to the food court. All CTC members can eat as part of their membership fee, so it’s busy all the time.
