The Sun Lakes Democratic Club will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, August 14, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 E. Sun Lakes Blvd N.

Senator Katie Hobbs has announced her candidacy for the Arizona Secretary of State. Senator Hobbs holds bachelor and master degrees in Social Work and has devoted a great deal of her career to domestic violence, behavioral health and homelessness issues. Senator Hobbs is the Executive Director of Emerge Arizona, a political action training program for Democratic women.

The Sun Lakes Democratic Club collects non-perishable food items for Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank. Please bring your tax-deductible contributions to the drop-off area in the west parking lot from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ask for a receipt. The club collected 178 pounds of food in June, along with cash donations of $35.00. The totals for the year so far are $817.50 of food and $284.00 in cash. We appreciate all you do.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Sun Lakes Democratic Club meeting, held the second Monday of the month. Light refreshments are served.
