Desert Rivers Audubon has free bird walks

Gwen Grace

Saturday Walks: Visit the Chandler Veterans Oasis Park, Chandler Heights and Lindsay, on the first Saturday of the month, 8:00 a.m. to noon. Bring the visitors and grandchildren. Find the Desert Rivers tent. Bird walks are free, and binoculars are lent out, even for children. Walk takes about an hour, and leaders will identify the various species now in migration.

Gilbert Riparian Preserve walk is the third Saturday of the month, same as above. Located at the corner of Greenfield and Guadalupe near the Gilbert Library. In January, the beautiful pintails were seen.

Monthly Meeting: Place is the S.E. Regional Library at Greenfield and Guadalupe Roads in Gilbert at 7:00 p.m. Always interesting speakers.

Enjoy nature and visit the parks and see the following website for more information.
