It happens every two years: The upcoming election is labelled to “most important” or “most consequential” of our lifetimes. This year, it may be true.

The Restless Minds discussion group will explore the issues, key personalities and implications of this year’s elections when it meets on Tuesday, October 9. The group meets from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Sewing Room of Oakwood’s Arts & Crafts Center.

Restless Minds is receptive to all people with open, inquisitive minds. There are no dues or membership requirements. All political and social points of view are encouraged to engage in this friendly exchange of ideas each month. Just show up and participate.

Part of the October 9 discussion will be devoted to Arizona ballot issues, as well as the important U.S. Senate race between Martha McSally and Kyrsten Sinema, a contest which guarantees Arizona will have a female senator for the first time in its history.

Also up for discussion will be races that have emerged as significant or noteworthy on a national level. Will we see new leaders materializing who might figure prominently in 2020 presidential election discussions?
