Fall is in the air – Sun Lakes Camera Club

Whoo by Linda Davis

Thirty Rock by Faith Dragoon

It only makes sense, no pun intended (well a little), that we take care of our tools. Steve Wright of C.R.I.S.Cam gave a stellar presentation at our October meeting to show us what goes into maintaining our cameras to capture clean and unblemished images. Steve shared basic care and upkeep as well as non-routine maintenance such as sensor cleaning and micro-focus adjustments. Steve’s experience is long at about 29 years of sales and technical camera repair with the company. C.R.I.S.Cam is the second largest photographic repair company in the world, located right here in Chandler. This was not to be missed for any photographer’s toolbox. A great start to our 2018-2019 Sun Lakes Camera Club season!

You now know how to maintain your tool, now you can educate yourself with Fundamentals of Digital Photography. This class caters to brand new starters looking to learn and seasoned photographers seeking some creative flair. Are you looking to transition from film to digital equipment or need that spark to use your digital camera more consistently? Sun Lakes Camera Club’s class may be just the inspiration to work with the right camera that fits your needs and the gentle environment to understand how to create your distinctive look. Registration is open. Visit sunlakescameraclub.com to download the form. Forms will also be available in Sun Lakes, Palo Verde, Ironwood and Oakwood clubhouses.
