IronOaks Tennis Club member Jack Sanders secured a major victory with a first-place win at the United States Tennis Association’s National Tournament in Vancouver. This was part of USTA’s Grand Slam series of four open events — played on grass, clay, indoors and outdoors. The Vancouver section was played indoors.

Jack and his doubles partner J.B. Hayes competed in the 80-85 age bracket. They played as a partnership for the first time last year and came in first place. That placed them as the number one seeded team going in, and they certainly showed they had earned that ranking.

The following week, they headed to southern California for the hard court competition and came in third place. IronOaks Tennis Club is proud to congratulate Jack on his first place and third place finishes in these major national tournaments.
