Lions do eye screening

Sun Lakes Breakfast Lions Club and the Sun Lakes Lions Club use state-of-the-art auto refractors in place of standard eye charts.

For Lions Club members doing vision screening Thursday at Superstition Mall, a few seconds with the new Spot auto refractors is all it takes.

The auto refractor – a handheld device, a little larger than a Polaroid camera – is being used in place of the old eye charts.

Lions Clubs around the world are dedicated to helping people, especially children, with sight and hearing problems.

It is not necessary to be a Lion to help in this screening project.
