Looking for fun and friendship in this toasty Arizona summer? Look no farther as the Fun Lakers Club is busy making plans for new and exciting activities for all the residents of our beautiful community to enjoy.
In July, the Fun Lakers potluck pool party at the Palo Verde, Michigan Pool was enjoyed by all who attended. The club supplied fried chicken and the members brought delicious dishes to share with one another. We thank Judy and Mike for organizing this enjoyable and relaxing evening.
Our next event will be a super summer stay-cation at the lovely FireSky Resort in Scottsdale on August 14. Bring your week-ender bag along with an appetizer or dessert to share to the Poolside Café in Oakwood at 5:30 p.m. We will have a cash bar available and at 6:30 p.m. the name of a lucky couple will be drawn. They will receive a champagne gift basket and a $100 in-house credit to enjoy on their two night stay. The cost is only $10 per member and singles may bring a guest at the member’s price. September 19 promises a fun filled evening of trivia with a twist and dinner at the Saguaro Room at Cottonwood Country Club. The bar will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 6:00 p.m. The games will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the cost is only $25 per member or $30 for non-members. Reservations are due no later than Friday, September 11 and should be mailed to Frank Mills, 9835 E Michigan Ave, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.
