We are pleased to report that two MOGA members recorded their first hole-in-one during October-Lloyd Schaeffer and John Gaudioso. Lloyd had his on Saturday, October 3 on No. 4 of the Palms using a No. 5 wood. John had his on MOGA Thursday, October 29 on No. 2 hole of the Lakes using his pitching wedge. John recorded his hole-in-one on the newly renovated Lakes course.

Lloyd and his wife, Susan, have lived in Sun Lakes for eight years. Lloyd has been playing for 56 years and enjoys a 16 handicap. He plays five or six times a week on all the IronOaks courses.

John and JoAnne have lived in Sun Lakes for 17 years. John plays to a 24 handicap…”give or take a few strokes either way.” He plays on all the IronOaks courses. John says he enjoys his friendships made over the years on the golf courses.

John, Lloyd and their spouses also enjoy playing with fellow members in the Nine Hole Couples League.

Gentlemen, PLEASE repair your divots and ball marks on the green. Help keep our courses looking nice.

MOGA dues for 2016 are due. They need to be paid by December 15 to insure there is no break in membership.

The annual Home and Home between Sun Lakes Country Club and Oakwood will be played on December 3 at Oakwood and December 10 at Sun Lakes Country Club. The fee is $20 and includes refreshments before play and luncheon following play.

To quote the great baseball player, Hank Aaron, “It took me 17 years to get 3000 hits in baseball; I did it in one afternoon at the golf course.”
