Due to several of our members being under the weather, a slightly smaller Oakwood couples group enjoyed the nice weather and quick play on Friday, December 28. We also helped Carole Schmidt celebrate her “something something” (ends in a 1) birthday. Yours truly helped Carole finish off, under the glittering lights, a bottle of champagne gifted to her by her loving husband. With our webmaster wizard Fred Smith cavorting in South Africa, the officers had to scramble a bit to figure out the computer scoring system, but we managed to get it right in the end.

We generally golf twice a month on Friday afternoons at 12:30 p.m. You can play from any tee box that you would like. We are still accepting new members, so come and join us in the fun. For more information, see our website at www.oakwoodcouples.com. The membership fee is $40.00. If you have an IronOaks membership, the weekly fee is $36.00 per couple for the meal and prizes. If you do not have a golf membership, you also pay the greens fee.
