On Sunday, January 24, Oasis of Grace Assembly of God held an installation ceremony for their new pastor, Rev.Gary Nibbelink. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Stephen Harris, District Superintendent for the Arizona Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. Pastor Gary was given a Fire Bible, a wooden staff to lead his new flock and a bottle of special oil from the Holy Land to anoint the sick. His wife, JoAnne Nibbelink, was at his side.

Pastor Gary and his wife come to us from Iowa where they were involved in a ministry to senior citizens. They are the parents of four children; one is a pastor in the East Valley. They also have 19 grandchildren.

Oasis of Grace meets at the Robson library in the Lecky Room on Riggs Road. They have Sunday school at 9:00 a.m., with the church service at 10:00 a.m. They also have Wednesday night Bible study at 6:00 p.m. at Pastor Gary and JoAnne’s home in Sun Lakes.

Some upcoming special events are Maundy Thursday communion services around the fire at Pastor’s home and a special Easter soul winning event with guests Larry and Gloria Lundstrom. They are also planning a missions convention for April 20-24 with a missionary to Mongolia on Wednesday the 20th; a banquet on Friday the 22nd featuring a pastor from an emerging new church in East Mark (Mesa) and the president of North Point Bible College on Sunday the 24th.
