Open forum planned for Restless Minds

The Restless Minds discussion group will close out its 2014-15 year on Tuesday, May 12 with a free-wheeling discussion of current issues.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Sewing Room of Oakwood’s Arts and Crafts Center. Restless Minds is an informal discussion group open to all people with inquisitive, open minds. There are no dues or sign-up requirements. Just show up and participate.

Normally, participants focus on one pre-announced topic for each two-hour session. But on May 12 they will consider whatever topics the group wants to discuss.

Among likely subjects are the ramp-ups currently going on for the 2016 presidential elections, what the United States should do about ISIS and whether the American middle class is endangered. However, any participant may bring up a discussion topic and is encouraged to do so.

For more information call Bill Gates or Bobbie Reed at 480-883-7410. Discussions will resume on Tuesday, September 8.
