PVMGA December 2017 Tournament results

So, for all of us who made New Year’s resolutions and are still keeping them going, be careful out there … we don’t want to overdo things.

The 2018 golf season is in full swing! We are pleased to provide the most recent results of our Saturday scheduled play:

On Saturday, December 16, the Ace of Aces Final was held, with the following Flight winners:

#1: Gross – Mike Lorimer; Net – Jerry Davis

#2: Gross – John Mitchell; Net – Gene Finney

#3: Gross – Arve Moser; Net – Craig Currie

#4: Gross – Phil Hollevoet; Net – Buster Crook

The overall Gross Champion was Terry Denefe with a score of 63, and the overall Net Champion was Tony Hames with a score of 54!

Congratulations, gentlemen!

On Saturday, December 23, a Designated Driver/2 BB’s event was won by Jack Hill, Robert Butt, Jim Wedeward and Dick Thomas with a score of 95.

On Saturday, December 30, a 1 Gross BB + 1 Net BB morning contest was won by Tony Hames, Dan Bottiglieri, Rick Onken and Phil Hollevoet with a score of 108.

An afternoon 1 Gross + 1 Net BB challenge was won by Ben Caviness, Don Grossart, Bill Hull and Dick Thomas with a score of 115.

On Saturday morning, January 6, the 2018 Member/Member – 2 Man Select-a-Drive tournament was won by:

Flight #1: Brandon Jones and Tom Jones, with a score of 46

Flight #2: Richard Hawkes and Rich Featherstone, with a score of 46

Flight #3: Neil Curtis and Adrian Barber, with a score of 45

An afternoon 1 Gross + 1 Net BB competition was won by Pat Conroy, Joe Dingeldine, Ivan Shaw and John Kuchera, with a score of 113.

Upcoming events include:

The President’s Cup Round #2 the morning of February 3, followed in the afternoon by a 2 BB’s contest

February 10: The Sweetheart Tournament followed by lunch

February 15 and 17: A Home & Home tournament with Fountain of the Sun CC

The PVMGA 2018 Club Championship will be played Saturday, February 24, and Saturday, March 3.

We are saddened to report the passing of Les Albert in December. Les was President of the PVMGA in 2001. He will be missed by his many friends.
