Jim Davis – Publicity

This month started on the 16th. Our 2015 Match Play was two rounds, beginning on the 16th and ending on the 23rd. The champions were as follows: 1st Flight: Dennis Bockelman; 2nd Flight: Ron Cox; 3rd Flight: Barry Mostovoy; 4th Flight: Jeff Martin; 5th Flight: Larry Chidester. The afternoon group on the 23rd played a Scramble format. The winning team consisted of Scott DeMichael, Jim Wedeward, Bill Saxton and Budd Livingstone with a winning score of 41.

On May 30th we played a Three Best Balls Net format and with a winning score of 164 there was a two-way tie. One team consisted of Bud Murray, Larry Orton, Charlie Sivertson and Ivan Shaw. The other team was Bill Fitzke, Jay Nelson, Bob Trusal and Bob Elliott. There was no afternoon group.

On June 6 we played a Team Scramble format. The winning team of Jack Hill, Jim Davis, Bill Nelson and John Meloch, scored a 37. There was no afternoon group.

Another one of our members, Jim Agar, passed away on May 21. We will miss him and our prayers go to his family.

July’s calendar will begin with no game on July 4. On July 11 we will be playing a 3-2-1 format. On July 18h we will be playing a Team Stableford format. On the 25th we will play our annual Crier’s Tournament. There will be no afternoon play in July.
