Happy New Year! We’re hoping one of your New Year resolutions was to do something fun while you enrich your creativity! We’d like to introduce you to Mary Frawley. She is a new resident and winter visitor who did just that; however, fortunately for all of us in the Cottonwood Clay Sculpture class who have become acquainted with Mary, she planned ahead and joined our class this fall! In the photo you can see Mary’s first two projects that have just been fired and are waiting to be glazed. Mary is just finishing her third and very beautiful vessel with a marine theme. While she’s away celebrating the holidays with her family this artwork will dry and be fired. When she returns the artwork will be ready for the glazing and finishing process. This could be you! Instruction, handouts, your teacher and new friends – why wait any longer?

The Cottonwood Clay Sculpture meets each Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Cottonwood Ceramic Room (Rm. 8) across from the Library. For more information call Evelyn Shea at 480-926-1240. Hurry – this is our busiest time of the year!
