March was a busy month for the Gourd Patch. In addition to monthly meetings, members can meet at the Oakwood Painting Room on Sundays from noon to 3:00 p.m. to work on projects or attend scheduled technique workshops. This month’s workshops included a Lariat workshop on March 3 and a Raku workshop on March 10.

The April meeting has been changed to the second Thursday, due to a conflict with another gourd event on the third Thursday. There will also be a Gourd Supplies “Garage Sale” prior to the meeting at 3:00 p.m.

Spirit of the Desert Gourd Patch was established to share our love of gourds and gourd art with others who feel the same. We teach and continue to learn how to work safely with gourds while having fun. Spirit of the Desert is open to anyone living in the Valley. We’d love to have you join us! Monthly meetings take place at the Arts and Crafts Room at Sun Lakes Country Club (25601 Sun Lakes Blvd., Sun Lakes, AZ) at 4:00 p.m.
