Sun Lakes Chorale’s spring concert set for March 24

Jan Ott

Both familiar and new faces will be greeting concert guests on Friday evening, March 24, when the chorale presents the final event of their musical year. Considering the many Sun Lakes events available and the growing number of residents and visitors, adding this date to one’s calendar now and considering advance ticket purchases insures an enjoyable evening.

The chorale will again perform at the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church located at 9248 E. Riggs Road (next to the library). The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:00 p.m. There’s plenty of parking, and this is a pleasant way to enjoy an evening right here in our own neighborhood. Now is also a good time to learn more about the chorale and its leadership by visiting their website at www.sunlakeschorale.com.

The $10 concert tickets will be available later this month and can again be conveniently purchased with a self-addressed, return envelope and check (contact Carolyn Ellis at 480-883-6997 for details) or purchased on February 28, March 7, March 14 and March 21 between 10 a.m. and noon, at Sun Lakes Ace Hardware’s “Ticket Tuesdays.” Chorale members will also receive a supply of tickets, or they can be purchased at the door, as available. Watch for information on neighborhood street signs and concert flyers.

As with previous concerts, guests can look forward to enjoying 75 trained voices (both male and female) sharing exciting accompaniments and creative arrangements for upbeat songs like “Anything Goes” and the ballad “More Than You Know.” The Chorale’s goal is to reach many different listeners and send them home happier than when they arrived—so get out that calendar and start contacting others who can join you in an evening of good music!
