Judi Vochatzer was elected president of the Sun Lakes Democratic Club at its meeting December 8. She succeeds Carol Maas, who is stepping down after four years as president of the active political organization. Carol remains chairperson of Legislative District 17 Democrats. The District includes eastern Chandler, all of Sun Lakes and part of Gilbert. Sun Lakes club members presented Carol with an award expressing appreciation “for your outstanding leadership and service” over the past four years.

Judi Vochatzer has been very active in both the Sun Lakes Democratic Club and LD 17 Democratic organization since 2010. She is a Cottonwood Precinct committeeperson and just completed a two-year term as First Vice Chair of the legislative district organization. She is also a member of the State Democratic Committee.

Three club officers were reelected on December 8 – Vice President Tom Amrhein, Secretary Brenda Brasch and Treasurer Bill Gates; eight Directors were reelected and four new directors were chosen during the meeting.
