Sun Lakes Lions Club President Larry Palmer presents a check to the Arizona Fire & Medical Authority/Sun Lakes Community Assistance Program Coordinator Scott Jaeger to be used to purchase 12 “lock boxes” for financially-strapped Sun Lakes residents. The actual lock boxes will be purchased at the fire district’s station and then donated to Neighbors Who Care who will pick the 12 deserving households and then install the lock box frame. CAP members then will respond to the home to install a front door key to complete the installation. Jaeger said, “The availability of a lock box on a home in the event of a medical or firematic emergency allows our firefighters and medics to make easy and quick access to our residents when seconds count and without any damage to the home.” (Photo by Brian Curry)
