The holidays are a busy time of year – a time full of anticipation and excitement, a time of endless shopping and cooking, a time of gathering with friends and family! Although, it may seem that everyone is full of holiday spirit, the truth of the matter is that for some, the holidays are a painful reminder of happier times when a loved one was alive to celebrate the season.

If you are dreading the coming of the holidays because you are grieving the passing of a loved one, you are invited to attend a workshop entitled Surviving the Holidays on Saturday, October 22, at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church. The hour and a half (10:00-11:30 a.m.) seminar will provide practical ideas about how to survive the holiday season. The $5 fee covers the student guide.
