The Arizona Wind Symphony expands 2018-19 concert season

The Arizona Wind Symphony, a dynamic 90-piece concert band based at the Tempe Center for the Arts, will be presenting additional concerts for your enjoyment during its 2018-2019 season. Under the direction of William J. Richardson, the band entertains Tempe and surrounding communities with an enjoyable variety of music including marches, Broadway and film tunes, overtures, dances, contemporary symphonic wind music and more. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, 7:00 p.m. – “Into the Future” Featuring our Small Ensemble Contest Winners

Thursday, April 11, 2019, 7:00 p.m. – “Wild About Harry” Featuring Jazz Trombonist Harry Watters

Friday, April 26, 2019, 7:30 p.m. – “Music Under the Stars” Free outdoor concert. Location: East Lawn of the Tempe Center for the Arts

Sunday, May 19, 2019, 2:00 p.m. – “An Afternoon of Chamber Music: Featuring the AWS Wind Ensemble and Paradise Winds”

Except as noted, all performances will be held at the Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281.
