Unity: Embracing Change

Kay Davis

Unity Church of Sun Lakes is a New Thought spiritual community and enjoys the teachings of peace, love, and healing. We follow the teachings of Jesus as well as other spiritual masters. Our prayers are affirmative to align ourselves with the Truth we know is in all of us. Because of the coronavirus, Rev. Jeanne Mclaughlin gives us our Sunday services online. We can be found by opening our website, www.unitychurchofsunlakes.org, and clicking on services. They are recorded on YouTube so you can watch them at any time. Church will be closed in July and August. If it is possible, we hope to see you in the Arts and Crafts Room of SLCC in September.

Here we are facing change, and I don’t think it is pleasant for any of us, but we are going to have to be patient until it is over and it has passed. In the meantime, perhaps we can make things better by giving our prayer life attention. It’s suggested that we choose a time twice a day and make prayer a regular practice. Starting with meditation to quiet the mind and then going with intention to the heart and feelings of love and peace, we acknowledge the One Presence and One Power, the Creator of the Universe and everything in it, including us, and we know we are one with God and with each other. God is Life, Love, Peace, and Light and lives in us and creates through us. As we know we are being guided, we listen with our hearts wide open. We experience the joy of this time. We can make this a time to deepen our spiritual life and make this a time of collective happiness. And So It Is!
