Wireless Hearing Assistive Technology Demystified

Regina Milgroom

The Sun Lakes Chapter of HLAA is proud to present Ingrid McBride, Au.D., Clinical Professor of Audiology, ASU. She will speak on the topic of Wireless Hearing Assistive Technology Demystified on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m., at the Ed Robson Branch Library, Lecky Center, located at 9330 E. Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248.

The use of wireless hearing assistive technology (WHAT) plays an important role in providing greater accessibility for individuals with hearing loss. Hearing aids and cochlear implants have the potential to offer wireless connectivity to cellphones, televisions, computers, etc.

The use of WHAT can expand your communication ability and enhance the quality of your life. This presentation will help you understand wireless technologies, the pros and cons of different options and solutions for hearing better at home, work and play.

You are not alone! If you, a family member or a friend is challenged by hearing loss, please come and join us for education, sharing and refreshments. All are welcome. You owe it to yourself! CART (real-time captioning) is provided, and the meeting room is looped, thanks to the Friends of the Library, for your hearing accessibility. Please park in the church lot next to the library.
