We have all made our own fashion mistakes and sometimes we still do! Elise Albert, owner of the What Women Want, casual clothing and swimwear shop, is going to help us not make those same mistakes again. You’ll get to participate as Elise demonstrates common style goofs and then asks you to spot them! Elise opened her store in Tempe in 1996, but Elise’s dream actually started in 1992. She was working full time as a buyer for “after- market auto parts.” At the time, Elise lived in San José and began her clothing business in her garage. She began designing and making custom swim suits for women. She had home party trunk showings to get established. Her next venture was to open a successful small boutique in San José. Four years later, Elise moved to Arizona and opened her shop here in 1996 at Guadalupe and McClintock in the Fry’s Shopping Center. She has been in the same location ever since. Elise still makes a line of custom swimwear and also offers suits from top line manufacturers. The casual and cruise wear clothing part of the business began as an afterthought for her. She found that her clients needed cover ups to go with their new suits, then they needed sun dresses and then shorts, slacks, tops and the list goes on and on. What Women Want stocks everything you’ll need for Arizona and casual fashion for travel. Clothes will be displayed and available for purchase. You will want to see all the pretty things. Come to the W.E. meeting and hear Elise share her tips on turning your fashion style up a notch!
