Sun Lakes United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the appointment of Reverend Jennifer Lambert as its new Senior Pastor, effective July 1, 2024. Reverend Lambert brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to faith and community service.

Reverend Lambert previously served at Red Mountain United Methodist Church in Mesa and Journey United Methodist Church in Maricopa. She also worked as a bilingual chaplain for Hospice of the Valley and served in various other churches throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English Literatures and Spanish from Texas Christian University and a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology. Most recently, she obtained certification in Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation from Candler School of Theology and became a YogaFaith Instructor (R-YFT 200).

In addition to her professional and academic achievements, Reverend Lambert is an avid reader, crafter, and beach enthusiast. She is also a proud mother of two daughters, Emma and Kathryn, both of whom are currently in college.

“It is a joy to be appointed to Sun Lakes. I look forward to learning more about the community and connecting with ecumenical efforts for all persons who call Sun Lakes home. With Sun Lakes United Methodist Church’s mission to be a beacon of hope with unconditional love and acceptance, it is exciting to be part of a congregation that lives out Jesus’ commandments to love God and love one another,” says Reverend Lambert.
