July 6 was the monthly Ace of Aces Qualifier. The low gross and low net scores from each flight qualify for the Ace of Aces tournament played at the end of the year.

Green Flight: Low Gross Steve Martz, Low Net Robert Schrote
On July 13 a flighted match play was played between equally handicap players. Forty-six players competed in 23 matches with only two ties. Bragging rights were enjoyed by 21 players as refreshment and drinks were enjoyed after play.
On July 27 an ABCD Team Low Gross/Low Net event was played with skins payouts by flights.

August events included the Ace of Aces Qualifier; a Pick Your Partner one net/one gross team competition; a Four Ball AD vs. BC Match Play challenge; a Cottonwood Combo event, which used a player’s score from two par 3 holes, two par 5 holes, and four par 4 holes, which were not known until the end of the round; and a Low Gross/Low Net Individual Scramble.
Summer heat has forced the cancellation of the Friday evening Cottonwood putting contest until the cooler temperatures of September. The contest was sponsored by CMGA and San Tan Golf Carts, who want to thank all those who participated, and they hope you will return in September.
