The Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation Sisterhood is proud to present Sandor Lubisch as our next speaker on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel Center. He is a retired high school English teacher, professional development specialist, and Arizona Master Teacher mentor. He previously researched and completed two family history books and published books regarding his teaching and disc jockey careers. He will speak about his latest fictional novel, My Own Sunrise. It is the story of a gay man, the son of Orthodox Jews, who faced fear and discrimination in the 1970s and beyond. Paperback copies will be available for purchase at the meeting for $15 cash or credit. His other books include Have I the Right? and the soon-to-be released Yitzhak’s Escape: The Jewish Flight to Uzbekistan. This meeting is open to the public.
Save the date of March 11 at 10 a.m. for the Sisterhood’s annual Card Party at Oakwood Country Club in Sun Lakes.
