At their monthly meeting on March 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sun Lakes Oakwood Ballroom, the Agave Quilters Guild will host Patricia Knouchel. Patricia is the sister of nationally-known quilter Eleanor Burns who introduced her Quilt in a Day 40 years ago, cultivating a quilt making revolution. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Quilt in a Day, Patricia will introduce Eleanor Burns’ newest book which takes you on a trip down memory lane. The book features quilts in all sizes, plus memorabilia photos of family and friends, all while teaching you how to make 17 different quilt blocks in 12” and 6” sizes.
Patricia will also present the Roundabout Stars quilt. While this striking quilt design gives the illusion of curves, the magic is in the Star Point, which is all straight lines, and made with her Triangle in a Square Ruler. This wonderful presentation will be presented to members, with non-members welcome and paying just $5 to hear Patricia speak. The program will be geared to quilters of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. Patricia will have products for sale. All sale items are cash or check; no credit card transactions will be accepted at this meeting.
