The Verdeen cousins of Sweet Gum, Texas, are at it again! This hilarious comedy will feature Diana Nelinson in the role of CeeCee Windham, the local TV host. Playing Gaynelle Verdeen will be Ginger Henry. Her cousin Peaches Verdeen Belrose will be played by Joyce Recupido, and her other cousin Jimmie Wyvette Verdeen will be portrayed by Susan Schlesinger. Reprising his role as their cantankerous Uncle Aubrey Verdeen is Lew Crawford who will be flirting and chasing Mamma Doll Hargis, played by Marilyn Holt. And, of course, Aubrey’s sister LaMerle Verdeen Minshew, who will be portrayed by Kate Turner, has to get her two cents in, whether her advice is welcomed or not. Other folks who drop into Sweet Gum are Bitsy Hargis, being played by Roxanne Banta, and Marlissa Crutchfield, the “third lady” of Texas, to be played by Jo Birlin. Cast as Gentle Harmony, the local psychic and hypnotist, is Nancy Patterson. And rounding out the ensemble are Jim Janowski, playing Theodore Rexford Belrose, Peaches’ erstwhile deceased husband. Wild Bill Boudreaux, the bounty hunter looking for Mr. Belrose, will be portrayed by Mark Wenz. And, finally, heard but not seen will be an advice-seeking man, voiced by Greg Posniak, and seen but not heard as the between-scene signage changers will be Cari Scholes and Greg Posniak. It promises to be a hoot of a show and is being directed by Sandy Bocynesky who brought Sun Lakes audiences last year’s Last Round-Up of the Guacamole Queens.
