There are over 75 scriptures about being fishers of men. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men” (Mark 1:17 ESV). Please come and Catch What’s Happening at First Baptist Church Sun Lakes (FBCSL) in May.
May is the beginning of our summer heat in Arizona, but don’t let it keep you indoors. First Baptist Church Sun Lakes is offering opportunities for you to “keep your cool.” And the best part, they are free—who doesn’t like free?
Kicking off May will be a special day of Drive-Thru Prayer on May 2, which is the National Day of Prayer.
Ladies, you won’t want to miss our first annual Tea & Thee on Saturday, May 11, at 2 p.m. The Women’s Ministry will be hosting Cream Tea, a tasty treat trend in Devon and Cornwall of Western England. Cream Teas often last only 45 minutes, and this one will feature a presentation on Sally Clarkson’s Teatime Discipleship, presented by Sun Lakes resident Pam Wortman. There is no charge; however, reservations are required. You can email “tea” to [email protected] or call 480-895-1088.
FBCSL will be hosting a special service for Peace Officers Memorial Day. For more information on this event, please call the office at 480-895-1088.
For the men, the wildly popular Band of Brothers will continue to meet on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m.
Women’s Bible studies will continue to meet at 9:30 a.m. on the first and second Tuesdays of the month.
Friday afternoon at the movies offers free popcorn, tea, lemonade, and friendly fellowship at no cost. If interested, call the church office at 480-895-1088 for more information and to get your name on the list.
So, come be fishers of men and Catch What’s Happening at FBCSL in May.
