Cheers Trip Opportunities: Many of our members spent the holidays traveling to visit family or entertaining family. Now that it is the new year, many members are thinking about where they want to travel.
With a wide variety of day trips and short, overnight travel, several of our members have elected to go on both the Mystery Tour on Feb. 16 and the Overnight Mystery Tour in April.
There is also strong interest in the March 16 Spring Training Trip to see the Cubs and Diamondbacks at Sloan Park. This trip includes transportation, seating in the VIP section of third base, and lunch and snack, all for $130. A cash bar is available.
Another trip that is attracting interest is a land and river tour that starts in Krakow, Poland, and ends in Budapest, Hungary. Part of the trip is on land, from Krakow to Budapest, where you board a riverboat that goes up the Danube to Passau. You return from Munich, Germany. The dates are Aug. 9 to 21, 2023. Prices start at $5,250, and a single supplement starts at $6,450.

Monthly Wine Tasting: Once a month a member of our group opens their house for wine tasting. Lorene Roberts leads this monthly social time. For January, member Kathy Clear hosted the event where we tried new and exciting wines, followed by a potluck dinner. We have 20 to 35 members join in this great socializing opportunity with friends and sample what may be new wines to some.
Cheers Golf Group: Our golf group continues to grow as we welcomed current cheers members Jane Gariby and Ron Hudson. We golf all the courses of Sun Lakes, as well as surrounding public courses. For the month of December, we golfed Oakwood and Sun Lakes Country Club. After golf, we stop at the lounge for social time to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of the round.
