The monthly Ace of Aces Qualifier was played on Aug. 3. The low gross and low net scores from each flight will qualify for the Ace of Aces Championship at the end of the year.

On Aug. 10 a flighted Pick Your Partner two-man event was held with one low net and one low gross team score. Teams must use both balls. Flights were determined by team total handicap.

Flight 2: Winning Team: Don Cerimeli and Bob Kaczmarek, Second Place Team: Robert Mifflin and Pat Hawkins
An AD versus BC team match competition was played on Aug. 17. The teams won a point for winning the front, back, and total. Out of nine matches, three were won by the AD team, four were won by the BC team, and two matches were a tie.
On Aug. 24 a flighted Low Gross/Low Net Cottonwood Combo event was played. After the start of play, the pro staff selected two par 3s, two par 5s, and five par 4s from the 18 holes being played for scoring.

Two events were held on Aug. 31. A 9-hole individual scramble was held with low gross/low net winners from each flight. After each drive, the player had the option to play a second ball, but if played, that ball was used to finish the hole.

Also on Aug. 31, after the earlier play, was a skills challenge including a longest drive hole, a chipping contest, and a 6-hole putting contest on the putting green. Contestants could enter one or all of the challenges, with an $5 entry fee for each challenge played.
September events included the Ace of Aces Qualifier, a team Pick Your Partner Alternate Shot competition, and an ABCD team competition using a one gross and two net score from the team.
