Join our web director Rob Truman as he takes us on a tour of the Computer Booters website computerbooters.org. Rob will be demonstrating some of the latest features, as well as access to the resources available to our members on our award-winning website. Some of the features that will be demonstrated will be how to access our member directory, YouTube channel, along with some past presentations and tutorials. The demonstration will be followed with a question and answer session. The meeting will be on Wednesday, May 10, in the Cottonwood Computer Learning Center, at 25630 S. Brentwood Drive, in Sun Lakes. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Social time for further discussion and to get acquainted will start following the meeting. Members and first-time guests will be eligible for door prizes. The meeting will also be available via Zoom.
If you’re new to computers or just want to update your skills, Computer Booters of Sun Lakes will be offering the second of two free workshops focused on computer basics and getting started with personal technology. The first workshop was on April 26. The second workshop will be on May 17 at 6 p.m. in the Lecture Hall in the Cottonwood Computer Learning Center. Topics covered will be Internet Security, Internet Search Techniques, and Questions and Answers. The workshop will run approximately two hours in length. Seating is limited. The Computer Booters Club has many things to offer members, such as free technical assistance, information about new programs, how to use the programs, Microsoft classes, and access to talks and conferences on a variety of topics from APCUG (Association of Personal Computer User Groups). The APCUG classes are free and can be attended using your computer, tablet, or phone with the Zoom.us app. These classes are an exciting benefit for club members.
