Bob and Carmen have been longtime club members, and we appreciate their desire to make each dance a celebration with special friends. Their table is always churning with laughter and smiling faces. They have consistently contributed to the special state of fellowship our club has always tried to cultivate. We are looking forward to seeing them at the Break Out the Glitz and Celebrate event, with dinner and dancing, on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at 5:45 p.m.

Some sad news: The planned Saturday, Nov. 13, dance has been canceled. The member/guest survey concluded on Sept. 10, and results indicated an insufficient attendance forecast for the upcoming November event. Forty percent of polled members and guests indicated they “would attend the November dance based on information available at this time.” We need a minimum of 65% to fund the first dance. Ninety-two percent of respondents indicated they had proof of vaccination.
We are hoping that members and guests will be vaccinated for COVID-19 before December 2021, so that we can all enjoy the dances from now on. A new survey to determine the attendance forecast for the Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, dance will be sent out on Nov. 1.
Cotillion Dance Club plans to present three dinner dances to be held at the Cottonwood San Tan Ballroom in Sun Lakes. Be sure to mark your calendars with next season’s dinner dance dates: Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 (Break Out the Glitz and Celebrate); Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022; and Saturday, March 12, 2022.
These dinner dances will be formal affairs, beginning with a champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception featuring live instrumental music. The ballroom will be decorated for each themed dance. We are looking forward to another season of prompt and courteous service from the Cottonwood staff.
The dance music for next season will be provided by the Rags Allen Band in a special band configuration that includes vocals from Gene Mann. You can enjoy this band at upcoming Sunday Night Dance Club events (www.sunlakes-sundaydanceclub.com).
