Brooks Scofield
The former Dolly Dressers, now known as the Doll Collector Club, has opened a fee-for-service Doll Repair Shop with the single goal of helping doll collectors repair dolls in their collections. We repair all kinds of older dolls, including composite dolls from the 1940s and before. We can also repair rag dolls like Raggedy Ann and Andy, Cabbage Patch dolls, and Build-A-Bears. We also receive collections from Sun Lakes residents, and when repaired, we donate them to worthy charities in the East Valley. We need Barbie dolls and the 18-inch American Girl-type doll. We take a worn-out, too-much-loved doll and turn her into a wonderful “just like new” doll with a new hairstyle (or sometimes a wig), new clothes and shoes, and a bed roll, quilt, or carry bag.
