Stock up for summer reading at the Friends of the Library (FOL) bookstore in the Robson Library. Browse for fiction and nonfiction books in hardback and paperback, all for 25 cents apiece. You can find cookbooks, history, biography, travel, and other nonfiction books, as well as children’s books, jigsaw puzzles, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. We even have a section of collectible books, which are priced individually. Our well-organized little bookstore is located across from the computer station in the southeast corner of the library. Look for the big blue sign!
The upcoming summer programs include speakers on different topics, craft projects, and book club discussions—something for everyone! Some of the most popular activities are the musical events, which will be presented for your enjoyment this summer. Check the Robson Library webpage at mcldaz.org/ed-robson or the Splash to find dates and times. These programs at the Robson Library are supported by funds from the bookstore, so the next time you come to the library for a program or a book, don’t forget to swing by our bookstore corner.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Robson Library! In the fall we are planning a fun event sponsored by the FOL and the Robson Library to celebrate this milestone event, so keep your eye out for the date. The celebration will recognize the culmination of many hours of planning and fundraising by Sun Lakes residents to make the library possible.
