Toastmasters is now in Sun Lakes and meets in the Phoenix Room at Cottonwood Country Club on every Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Toastmasters is free to all guests and if you decide to join, well, the cost is less than a cup of coffee each week!
As we kick off another year, I find that I am reflecting, being in gratitude, and anticipating the year ahead. Being a Toastmaster for over 10 years, I reflect on the many friendships I have developed and marvel at how my self-confidence has blossomed when it comes to speaking to a group or just one-on-one.
I am grateful to have a fun Toastmasters club in our community. This is a fun way to get together, make new friends, share stories, and laugh. Each meeting is structured the same, starts and ends on time, yet each meeting is different because we take turns with leadership roles and speaking opportunities. I always learn something new at each meeting.
We anticipate this club will grow to become one of the top clubs in the State. TALKotillo Toastmasters has over 20 members, and we expect to grow to 35-40 members this year. Now that COVID-19 is mostly behind us, it is time to Re-EMERGE, Re-CONNECT, and Re-ENERGIZE!
TALKotillo Toastmasters will have an open house on Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Phoenix Room at Cottonwood Country Club. We will have snacks and beverages, and you will meet some of the members and experience what a real Toastmasters meeting is all about. Come and visit, and have some fun. Bring a friend!
