More than 80 members of the IronOaks Tennis Club came out to start the season with a morning of social tennis, fun, and good food. The event on Nov. 9 was hosted by the Valley of the Sun tennis team Party at the Net. They provided a delicious assortment of chilis and cornbread, and ended the event with ice cream sundaes. It was a perfect way to welcome back our winter visitors and was a preview of good things to come.
Other social events planned for the new year include the traditional Valentine’s Social, a fashion show in March, Play It Forward (our charity event benefiting Neighbors Who Care), and a year-end potluck dinner gathering. If you’re looking for more competitive play, interclub events with SunBird, Springfield, and Cottonwood are planned, as well as Gender Doubles and Mixed Doubles tournaments and the highly competitive USTA Jason Morton Tournament.
