On Thursday, Dec. 15, we will have a Hanukkah Party at 1 p.m. in the Chapel Center. There will be lots of games and delicious traditional desserts for the holiday celebration. Activities include making edible dreidels, Hanukkah bingo, and holiday word puzzles.
On Jan. 19, 2023, at 1 p.m. we will learn how challah is made. Wende Levy will demonstrate how to braid the dough. Everyone is invited to attend the meeting, but space is limited to the first 16 people who sign up to do the hands-on activity. Those members who would like to participate must bring a cookie sheet and clean kitchen towel or cloth to the Chapel Center on that day. You will take home the braided dough to let it rise, and then you will bake it at home. The recipe and instructions will be distributed at the meeting. RSVP to Barbara Reiss at [email protected] by Jan. 5, in order to be one of the first 16 people who will do this activity. Everyone else at the meeting is welcome to learn how to make this traditional Jewish bread.
