As we approach the holiday season, our club would like to thank you all for your support throughout the year and wish you all a happy holiday season. Sharing time with friends and family, wherever you may be, is time that makes these days so special and enjoyable for all. As we head into the new year, we all will be faced with many challenges after coming through some tough times with the virus and an assortment of other things that were unexpected. Now is a good time to be thankful for all that we have, with hope that the future will move forward in a positive direction for an adventurous and exciting new year.
For club members, there are a few changes that are coming into play as we wind up this year. First, after a year of challenges, we’ve come out on the good side with our ability to help those in need. In our storage area we maintain a wide variety of things—some basic and others a variety of motorized items like scooters and wheelchairs, which have been well received by many in the past. For more information or detail, feel free to contact our chapter commander at the number listed below.
As we close out a challenging year, the Korean War Veterans membership will be getting together for its holiday celebration on Dec. 13. The location has been selected, and it will be at Keegan’s; however, the time has not been finalized and will be passed on to all once it becomes available. Additional guests can be included to the list at a cost, while the members in good standing attending, if signed up prior to the cutoff date, will be the guests of the chapter commander.
The Korean War Veterans meet from October through May. Meetings are scheduled on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Part of our agenda, when possible, includes guest speakers who have a wealth of information to pass on to us that we may not be aware of. The next scheduled meeting will be on Jan. 24, 2024, and will start at 10 a.m., in the banquet area of Black Bear Diner located in the Queen Creek Road and Alma School Road area. Veterans from all branches are always welcome.
Wishing you all a happy holiday season and a healthy, exciting new year. Our chapter commander can be reached at 480-802-2532.
