SoSco Duo—Elvis Presley Music

Jan. 4 at 2 p.m.

Come and enjoy the award-winning acoustic duo playing the familiar tunes of Elvis Presley. SoSco Duo is well known for its exquisite sound and musicianship, bringing cherished memories and heartfelt emotions to life. As SoSco Duo says, “It’s not just about hearing familiar tunes—it’s about feeling comfort, connection, and joy.”

Recipe Swap

Jan. 6 at 10 a.m.

Join us once a month to share and swap recipes! Bring your favorite recipes, and we will create and pass out copies of it. Participants will be provided with a Robson recipe book where you can add the new recipes you receive.

Crafting Together: Odds and Ends Crafts!

Jan. 9 at 10 a.m.

Join us for a unique craft! Each Crafting Together session provides an opportunity to create something new. Learn a new activity while you engage with the community, relax, and have fun. All skill levels are welcome to attend as we enjoy crafting together!

Book Club Is My Alibi

Jan. 10 at 3 p.m.

Join library staff for our newest book club as we explore the mystery genre. We will be discussing Daughter of Mine, by Megan Miranda, and we will hand out copies of our next book, The Heiress, by Rachel Hawkins.

Saturday All-Ages Craft—Air Dry Clay

Part 1: Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.

Part 2: Jan. 18 at 2 p.m.

Please note: This is a two-part program that will take place over two Saturdays. Part 1 (Jan. 11) will be making your clay creations, and Part 2 (Jan. 18) will be painting your dried clay.

One Saturday a month, the Ed Robson Library will host a craft for all ages! Come to the library to make something unique, learn a new skill, or spend time with members of your community. All skill levels and ages are welcome! This month’s All-Ages Craft is air dry clay!

Readers Rendezvous

Jan. 13 at 10 a.m.

Join fellow readers once a month to talk about what you’re reading! This will be a book club-style discussion but with no required title to read. Discuss what you love to read, share some recommendations, and leave with new titles to read!

Writing Workshop: Names in My Family

In this workshop we will write about our own names or the names of family members to explore what we know about them and how we feel about them.

Genealogy Workshop

Calligraphy 101

Jan. 16 with sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Join us to learn about calligraphy! Learn about the art of writing by hand, and practice with calligraphy pens. No experience is necessary.

Protect Your Golden Egg During Your Golden Years Series—Identity Theft

Jan. 17 at 2 p.m.

Come and join Maria Lozano as she teaches us about identity theft. You will learn how to protect your personal information like a priceless treasure. Receive practical tips and uncover the tricks so your identity remains yours and yours alone!

Sound Meditation

Jan. 21 with sessions at 1 and 1:40 p.m.

Sound has been used as a meditative tool around the world for thousands of years. In these sessions, we will experience the calming and restorative effects of crystal singing bowls, rainsticks, and melodically tuned chimes. Participants will leave with a renewed sense of inner stillness, ease, and presence. Please bring your own mat, or chairs will be provided.

Sessions are from 1 to 1:30 p.m. or from 1:40 to 2:10 p.m. Please sign up for only one session.

Open Tech Help

Need help learning your new device? Can’t figure out how to send an email? Our Open Tech Help program is here to help! Bring your device/problem with you, and one of our staff members will provide one-on-one help. Each registration is for 20 minutes of time and will be completed on a first-come, first served basis.

Please bring your own materials, and let’s craft together while sharing ideas, tips, and stories. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet fellow community members, make new friends, and get inspired by each other’s projects. No registration is required, so drop in anytime! Digital Resources Presentation

Library staff will review the library’s electronic resources. We will cover Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy, and Freegal. Feel free to bring your device so we can help you get set up with our electronic resources!

Book Club

Join the library staff in discussing our monthly pick. You can join us on Tuesday or Wednesday, and we will be discussing Remarkably Bright Creatures, by Shelby Van Pelt. Copies of our next book will be available at the end of the meeting.

The Ed Robson Film Society

Jan. 31 at 2:30 p.m.

The Ed Robson Film Society is a new program series based around watching and discussing relevant and important films from around the world. This month’s film will be Street Gang (2021). Following the screening we will have a book club-style discussion based around the film.
