November is the time to welcome back our winter friends. With the heat behind us, we look forward to a new season of great golf. Again, we welcome all new members and look forward to many more joining our 18-hole Oakwood Ladies Golf Association. New members are encouraged to join anytime during the year. Please check out the OLGA-18 website at www.olgagolf.org for additional information. OLGA would like to welcome Linda Brock to the league. There are now 134 regular members, along with 14 Handicap Only members.
Of course, everyone is excited to begin playing the newly renovated Palms course. There was a tour of the Palms on October 29 preceding the annual Golf Expo. All three courses resumed play on October 30.
One of many OLGA Special Events is the OLGA Cup, which is scheduled for December 2 and 9. This is an always spirited two-round, low net competition. The OLGA Cup, along with the announcement of the 2015 officers, will be presented at dinner following the final round on December 9. You can view all OLGA Special Events on the OLGA website.
