An average of 20 players per week survived the beginning of summer monsoon season in Oakwood. On July 12 we counted only the even holes of golf. Eun Yoon was in first place in Flight 1, Terry Jung and Dang Teater tied for second, and Kelley Wojack and Eleanor McCann tied for fourth. In the Flight 2, Colleen Ritter was first, Joann Rebillard was second, and Marty Light and Phyllis d’Amore tied for third.
We could choose our best front or back nine on July 19. Dang Teater placed first in Flight 1, Eun Yoon was second, Mary Perry was third, and there was a three-way tie for fourth. They were Terry Jung, Kathy Burns, and Eleanor McCann. In Flight 2, the winner was Colleen Ritter, tied for second were Stephanie Raach and Phyllis d’Amore, and Joann Rebillard and Beth Ebmeier tied for fourth.
Putts were selected for the game on July 26. Dang Teater was the winner in Flight 1, Eun Yoon was second, and Terry Jung and Nancy Cohn tied for third. Flight 2 was won by B.J. Schuller and Susan La Salvia, and Sherry Rogers was third.
On Aug. 2 it was the Crier’s tournament. Karen Tucker won Flight 1, Eun Yoon was second, and Terry Jung was third. Flight 2 was won by Dari Akin, B.J. Schuller was second, and Beth Ebmeier was third.
The Hate’em POD let us choose three of our least favorite holes and eliminate them at the end of 18 holes. Flight 1 was won by Dang Teater, second place was Dari Akin, and there was a three-way tie for third. They were Eun Yoon, Stephanie Raach, and Carole Schmidt. In Flight 2, Joann Rebillard won first and Terry Jung and Pat Schepp tied for second.
