The Sun Lakes Republican Club will feature “Setting the Record Straight with the Rest of the Story” with guest speaker, Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) President Cathi Herrod, Esq., at its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Navajo Room of the Sun Lakes Country Club, at 25601 S. Sun Lakes Blvd., in Sun Lakes. The public is invited! Please bring your neighbors and friends! Our mission is “education for an informed electorate.”
Our national charter, the Declaration of Independence, declares our most basic human rights as Americans are the rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (property).” Many hard-working families are struggling just to make ends meet, pay the bills, and put fuel in their cars to get to work.
This program will discuss the essential “kitchen table” issues that matter most to families and will be impacting our lives in the coming year and beyond in Arizona.
Cathi Herrod is serving her 17th year as President of Center for Arizona Policy. A champion of the pro-family movement and an award-winning public policy leader, Arizona newspapers have recognized her as one of the 10 most influential leaders at the Capitol. She is the recipient of the Family Champion Award from Focus on the Family and the William Wilberforce Award from Students for Life of America.
One hundred eighty-eight CAP-supported measures have been passed since Center for Arizona Policy made its first appearance at the state Capitol in 1996.
State Senator JD Mesnard and State Rep Julie Willoughby will provide updates on current issues in our district. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet and hear briefly from several candidates. Please join us for what promises to be an inspirational preview to the 2024 election season.
You are invited to join us for “An American Christmas” on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. in the San Tan Ballroom at Cottonwood Country Club for a prime rib dinner and entertainment by Harry Matthews.
