We are so grateful to the Rotary Club of Sun Lakes for their generous donation to fund our Childrens’ Charities. Thanks to the donation from Rotary, Childrens’ Charities (one of our Charity Special Interest Groups) continues to donate bears, coloring book totes with crayons, race car tracks with cars, and dolls complete with two or three additional outfits. The latest donation was delivered to Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels. They were very appreciative, and this donation will put smiles on lots of children’s faces.
Creative members recently completed a class on making thread catchers. The thread catchers not only provide a place to put threads and other small scraps, but also have a pin cushion. They are designed to be placed on a table and will stay in place.
Sew-N-Sews is a club of friendly members who get together not only for the monthly programs, but also to enjoy camaraderie in small groups for classes and Special Interest Groups. We thank all of you who stopped by our table at the Community Days Open Houses.
Guests are welcome to join us for two meetings before joining. The new member fee is $25, which includes a name badge. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes residents. We meet the second Wednesday of each month in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club at 1 p.m.
Our next meeting will be held on Nov. 8 in the Navajo Room at Sun Lakes Country Club at 1 p.m. We invite you to come and join us.
