At a recent Open House at Cottonwood Country Club, two members of The ImproVables were able to exhibit how a portion of the recently received grant from the Greater Sun Lakes Community Foundation had been used. They sported their new “uniforms,” lively colored t-shirts with the comedy group’s logo on the front and the troupe’s name on the back. Representatives of the Foundation were pleased to see evidence of their gift in person, and improv leader Phyllis Novy and longtime troupe member Janine Schneck were delighted to model the new attire. The ImproVables were able to wear the new shirts for both of their recent shows on Sept. 30 and Oct. 30 when they played to sold-out crowds.
The next public appearance for the comedy group will be at Sun Lakes Country Club on Feb. 21, 2024. Each performance is unique, because many of the games are based on suggestions from the audience. No two shows are alike with these unrehearsed, off-the-top-of-their-heads scenes.
