Sun Lakes United Methodist Church (SLUMC) is thrilled to announce an empowering seminar, “How to Thrive in Your Second Half of Life,” featuring the esteemed speaker Benjamin Surmi, social gerontologist. This event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Lindsay Hall, located at 9248 E. Riggs Road, in Sun Lakes.
Benjamin Surmi, Director of People and Culture at Koelsch Communities, brings a wealth of experience and innovative training techniques to help individuals embrace the life they choose with intention and gratitude. Attendees will learn to dismiss myths about aging and expand their lives, becoming architects of powerful change. Surmi’s passion for empowering seniors promises to leave a lasting impact on all participants.
In addition to Benjamin Surmi, the event will feature other notable guest speakers:
• Sheryl Keeme from Neighbors Who Care will present “Finding Your Purpose.”
• Bart and Cris Evans will discuss “Transforming Life Through Music.”
• Melva Edwards will lead a session on “Practicing Mindfulness.”
